Procrastination: The Villain
- Still procrastinating? Ask yourself: What's the worst that can happen if I start this right now? The answer is often a lot less scary than the wait.
- The simplest application of the 80/20 rule is to identify what's truly important and spend more time on these activities. Find the tasks that generate 80% of your results and happiness.
- We often procrastinate or fail to remain focused because we're stressed. Our minds react to unpleasant or undesirable situations by bailing on us.
Time Management in 20 Minutes
- Bring positive energyto the room. The energy you contribute has a tremendous impact on others.
- **Follow a preset plan.**When day-to-day tasks are planned, they are less stressful and can be done in less time.
- Announce the end of meetings five minutes earlyto ensure you wrap up on schedule.
- **Create a time-blocked schedule.**Add your most urgent tasks to time blocks in your planner or calendar.
