Hey friends,
I’m excited to share some ideas that I follow or find inspiring in my life. This week, I thought of sharing a few tips that can help you prepare for the upcoming week or month.
Typically, how do we spend our Sundays? Many of us wake up late, spend half the day relaxing or binge-watching shows, take a nap in the afternoon, and spend the evening with family, perhaps enjoying some entertainment or dining out.
What if you dedicated just 30 minutes on Sunday to something different? In this newsletter, I'd like to share how you can spend 30 minutes on Sunday or your weekly day off to plan for the next week or month.
Spending 30 Minutes
- Time Blocking
- If you haven’t started time blocking yet, give it a try. It can be challenging initially, but once it becomes a habit, it’s a powerful method to plan your week.
- If you already use time blocking, review your past week’s schedule and identify tasks you couldn’t complete and plan to tackle them in the upcoming week.
- Overcoming the "No Time" Excuse
- Utilize a few minutes on Sunday to focus on hobbies you feel you don’t have time for:
- Learning photography
- Playing a musical instrument
- Developing a new skill
- Any activity you’ve been wanting to pursue
- Journaling
- We often find it hard to share our thoughts. Writing in a journal at least once a week can help you express your feelings and overcome anxiety and problems.
- Reading
- Spend 30 minutes reading.
- Meditation
- Dedicate 30 minutes to meditation.
- My Sunday 30-Minute Routine
- Time blocking
- Reviewing what I’ve completed and reflecting on what I’ve learned (introspection)
- Identifying urgent tasks for the coming week
- Aligning future goals with specific days and times in the next week
This exercise can provide valuable insights. The first Sunday might feel overwhelming, but here are some steps to get started:
- List the tasks you need to accomplish in the coming week.
- Create a list of things you’d like to do.
- Align these tasks with your calendar.
Doing this once a week will make you feel proud and grateful. You’ll start noticing that you’re able to accomplish many tasks that seemed daunting before.
The whole Sunday is yours. Just 30 minutes can bring clarity and inspire more creative and growth-oriented activities, potentially transforming your life.
Enjoy your upcoming Sunday!
